He died at the age of 82 in Tel Aviv Israel. He is also known as Isaac or Alexandre. he was an Israeli painter, sculptor, and teacher. He was one of the leading Jewish artists gaining international recognition during his lifetime. His works, reveal abstract and cubist influences that he probably adopted while studying in Paris.
