Encapsulated under the clear acrylic face of this baseball artifact is a section of heavy duty vinyl canvas that was once the outer 'skin' of one of the outfield wall pad that served in the ORIGINAL Yankee Stadium .... the home of the New York Yankees! The wall pad 'skin' used to create this unique piece of New York Sports history was authenticated by Major League Baseball in 2009 & carries M.L.B. Authenticated Serial Number LH-297232 on it. Being wall pads serve for many, many years before being retired/replaced, it's highly likely that it was in place when the Yankees won their final World Series in the old ballpark back in 2000 ....
