Description: WWI British Officers Mess Dress Named to Lt C.H.Steele - Royal Irish Fusiliers later BUF. Wonderful Original - An extremely interesting and unlikely find. Yes you did read the title right. On researching C.H.Steele he is listed online. Steele is photographed wearing black with his corresponding British medal bar alongside the BUF Membership Pin.Titled: Lieutenant Charles Steele, a former Royal Irish Fusiliers officer, wearing the uniform of the British Union of Facists or "Blackshirts". See the last photo of the listing. Finding something like this again is highly unlikely, yes it is a small restoration project (the original style Lt boards we have added for the winner of the auction these could be easily restitched and one small piece of insignia needs replaced). The over all condition; the uniform has some mothing, but no larger holes. The Trousers have some damage but are his original trousers matching for his dress uniform.
