The episodes also features CM Punk 309 days as Champion celebration. full cardWWE @ Albany, NY – Times Union Center – September 24, 2012 Raw – included Michael Cole & Jim Ross on commentary; featured an opening in-ring segment in which Paul Heyman stood beside WWE World Champion CM Punk, sitting in a chair, in which Heyman discussed Punk’s foot being on the bottom rope during the previous week’s main event; moments later, Heyman called for referee Brad Maddox to come out to the ring, apologize to Punk, and resign; Maddox then appeared and apologized, noting it was his first main event and he was nervous; Heyman thanked him and then told him to resign, with the crowd chanting “No;” when Maddox wouldn’t, Punk said he should be ashamed and questioned him on how he even got a job; Maddox replied by saying AJ called him after the Raw expansion, with Heyman noting he wasn’t even a real referee and then pulled out an eye cover that had both the WWE and NFL logos on them; Punk followed by saying AJ should come out and fire him, with AJ appearing and sending Maddox to the back; AJ then said the official made a mistake but she wasn’t going to let them hold her show hostage; Punk said the only reason there was tension between the two was because he wouldn’t marry her two months earlier and implied the two were intimate before saying “Tell them I’m the best in the world;” Heyman then stepped in and told Punk he could handle it, then addressed AJ and got down on one knee and proposed to her, telling her that they could be the most powerful couple in sports entertainment history before insulting her; AJ then slapped Heyman and left the ring; following the commercial break, AJ spoke with Maddox backstage, with Maddox apologizing before AJ said he would never make the mistake again or he would never work in the business; AJ then stared off in a trance as Maddox apologized and walked off; moments later, AJ smiled as tears came down her face; featured an ad promoting Saturday Morning Slam; included a “Did you know?” graphic which read the WWE app has been downloaded more than 2 million times in its first month, beating the TNT, Discovery Channel, TBS, History Channel, and ESPN apps; featured footage of WWE Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan meeting with Dr. Shelby at a diner, with Dr. Shelby saying he had a role playing game set up to help Bryan’s relationship with WWE Tag Team Champion Kane; moments later, Kane appeared as their waiter, with Bryan making his order and then making fun of Kane; Shelby then said Kane was playing the role of “Gerald,” with Kane – as Gerald – talking about eliminating the old cook earlier in the day and putting his remains in everyone’s food; included a Susan G. Komen WWE campaign before apologizing for Punk’s recent actions against referees; Cena then said he didn’t know when he would be recovered but he guaranteed he would walk in to HIAC to fight; Punk then appeared with Heyman, with Punk saying Cena’s speeches remind him of politicians and said there has always only been one CM Punk, the man that has repeatedly beaten Cena in the past year; Punk said there were many reasons he wouldn’t defend against Cena at HIAC and eventually told Cena to run while he still could before he ensures Cena wouldn’t be cleared to wrestle by the pay-per-view; moments later, Punk turned his back and gave Cena until 5 to leave the ring, with Cena then clearing Punk from the ring with a lead pipe when Punk went after him; Cena then said he would see Punk at HIAC; several moments later, Punk walked past Foley backstage, then walked back to him and kicked him in the gut; Punk walked off, then turned around to do it again only to find Ryback staring back at him: Dolph Ziggler pinned Kofi Kingston at 11:07 with the Zig Zag after throwing Kingston upside down in the corner; prior to the bout, Vickie Guerrero introduced Ziggler from the entrance stage; during Ziggler’s entrance, recent tweets between the two were shown; R-Truth escorted Kingston to the ring before the match; following the entrances, Vickie and Truth had a confrontation at ringside, with Vickie having Truth’s drink dumped on her before the referee ejected them both from ringside; during the bout, it was noted Criss Angel was the social media ambassador for the night’s show Titus O’Neil & Darren Young defeated Santino Marella & Zack Ryder at 1:56 when O’Neil pinned Marella with the sit-down spinebuster after Young made a blind tag Ryback pinned WWE IC Champion Mike Mizanin at 2:57 in a non-title match with Shellshocked; late in the bout, a fan ran into the ring before being pulled out by security Wade Barrett pinned Tyson Kidd with the Souvenir elbow strike to the face at 2:21 World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, Rey Mysterio Jr., & Sin Cara defeated Alberto Del Rio, David Otunga, & Ricardo Rodriguez at around the 9-minute mark when Sin Cara pinned Rodriguez with a springboard senton after Mysterio hit the 619 on Rodriguez; Rodriguez introduced ADR before the match; during the contest, Titus O’Neil & Darren Young were shown watching on backstage; after the bout, Sheamus dropped Otunga with the boot to the face (the bout began during the commercial break) WWE Divas Champion Eve & Beth Phoenix defeated Layla & Alicia Fox at 1:29 when Eve pinned Fox with the neckbreaker; after the bout, Kaitlyn came out on the entrance stage on a crutch and said she tracked down security footage from backstage at Night of Champions that showed her attacker was a blonde; moments later, Eve began blaming Phoenix, with Phoenix saying Eve was a liar; moments later, Eve dropped Phoenix with the neckbreaker and yelled at her that Phoenix wasn’t going to take advantage of people Tensai fought Brodus Clay (w/ Cameron & Naomi) to a no contest at 1:45 when the Big Show came out, knocked out Tensai with a punch tot the face and then did the same to Clay
