On each plate is the common and the scientific name of the species; most are in color. With an Index to Common Names inside the front cover. Volume one is 185 pages and Volume two are pages 186-362. There is a small paper with compliments of Regent William Bondy attached to the front title page. The covers do have some edge wear, a little heavier on the corners and spine ends.
