Description: Vintage 1985 and Extremely RARE in the condition that these dolls are !! " SAMIRA" And BABY By Patricia Loveless for World Gallery of Dolls. She is huge, 31" inches high and her baby is 10" High. SAMIRA is a Moroccan mother. Samira and her child are exotic creations that reflect the love and beauty represented in motherhood all over the world. Patricia's original sculpture of the mother is recreated in artist quality porcelain, which compliments her inherent beauty. The child is a reproduction of "Dream Baby," one of the most desirable of early antique porcelain babies. The costumes for both mother and child are original designs by Patricia based on authentic tribal costumes, which are found in West Africa and the Sahara. The mother's beautiful gown is draped in a classic decorative over-scarf style, which characterized much of the dress in Moroccan and West African villages. There are so many details in her costume hair, even on the baby. These dolls are just perfect This doll has a porcelain movable head and breastplate, arms above elbows and legs aboveknees with a cloth body. Beautiful brown eyes with upper and lower lashes. They are both signed in 18K gold with the personal signature of the artist. Limited edition of 2000 They are both #363. These Dolls are in MINT CONDITION.
