Description: You're looking at a stunning, custom-built, industrial table that works perfectly as a console table/ desk. The top was created by joining 2 antique Hamilton MFG Co. bookbinding boards that were originally used to create the spines of leather-bound books in a book press. These pieces are hardwood with their original, stamped brass edges. As you can see, both the wood and the brass possess a lovely natural patina from several decades of use. The heavy-duty cast iron base is rock solid and would have originally had a large machine bolted to it and used in a factory setting. You can see that a semi-circular shape was cut out of the side of the base, presumably where a portion of the machinery would have run. There are no cracks or repairs whatsoever. Very solid, very sturdy. Measures: L 56.25" x H 30.25" x W 18.25". The weight is in the neighborhood of 300 lbs. Pick up is available from Berkeley, CA. I will also work with your preferred shipping company if your desire is to have this item shipped by another carrier. **Please check out my other Industrial/ Mid-Century listings.**
