Description: This is a striking and magnificently crafted wooden carved depiction of the loving face of Jesus statue bust. Made of a substantial wood with a stunning grain (possibly olive wood) its original sticker tag has fallen off over the years so, it is unbranded. The wood grain pattern adds a truly unique flare to the overall piece. The wavy, burl darker grain originating under the crown of thorns and running under our Lord’s eye flows down the rest of the piece mirroring an artistic blood flow. It adds a feel of regal sorrow that, to me, illustrates a Savior’s love, sacrifice and determination. In very good condition with its wood creation flaws only adding to the art.
