Description: Offered here is an unusual studio art pottery vase featuring long-finned fish (possibly Angelfish) swimming among seagrass. The body is covered in an off-white, taupe, or ivory slip, and the fish and grass were hand-incised and then brushed over with a mossy green glaze. Signed by artist or studio on the bottom of the base, but I can't make out what it says. Dimensions: About 8.5" tall, with a maximum body width of about 5", tapering to an interior rim diameter of about 1.5" at the top Condition: Overall very good condition. One small area on the upper rim where the glaze either didn't take, or it may perhaps be a small, shallow chip. There are a few small marks on the body which look like surface soiling, but I have not tried to clean this piece with anything other than a damp cloth. There is also faint crazing or crackling on the slip, but I can't tell if this is age-related or a deliberate effect induced by the artist. Thanks for looking!
