Description: A beautiful vintage Original Hand thrown and hand painted big HARVEST Plate or platter by renowned Portuguese artisan ANIBAL ROSADO, working in Sao Pedro do CORVAL, PortugalMajolica glazes over a heavy hard 11 1/2" redware plate, decorated in a harvest theme, with colorful grapes, bananas, lime, lemon, melon and pomegranate on a cream background with a blue rim. The artist incised the design as well as glazing, giving his works a unique look and feel.Signed on both the front (underglaze) and the back by the artist. The back also shows "S.P. Corval."In excellent condition. Some small rough spots on the glaze, just as it came from the kiln. Remains of a paper label on the back.This is HEAVY!
