Description: DIRIGO Vintage Nautical Compass, Gimballed, 4"FaceUSA Made in Seattle, WA I don't know how old this is, circa 1950's maybe. It looks great and works as it should, though it is missing the fluid. The fluid is there to dampen the movement of the needle/dial when seas are rough, but aside from that it works as it is supposed to. There is a port to replace the fluid, I show it in the pictures, and you can buy the specific fluid you'd need on line. Dirigo is apparently still in business. The dial says Seattle but I think they are still made in Bellevue, a bit to the south of there.
