Description: Vintage decorative tin box made in West Germany to commemorate the first railroad in Germany that ran between Nuremberg and Furth. The outside of the box features various litho printed scenes of the railway. The top depicts the train with the city in the background and crowds of onlookers. The sides show various scenes of the train and railroad running through towns and countryside. Beautiful detail on the illustrations and the piece has a wonderful feel to it. Bottom of the tin marked: E. Otto Schmidt Lebkuchen und Honig 8500 Nurnberg Made in W. Germany Measurements: 9.5" long x 5" deep x 4.5" tall. Condition: This tin shows general vintage wear as expected from age and shown in the images. Some rust spots on the metal, especially around edges and corners.
