Description: Vintage Capodimonte Porcelain Trinket Box Roman Gods Gold Signed AS-IS READ ALL This adorable vintage signed Capodimonte porcelain lidded trinket box will make a great addition to your collection. It features relief style hand painted Roman or Greek Gods & Goddesses wrapping around the box form and on the top center of the lid with metallic gold tone painted accents, pink/red/green geometric shapes and a hilly Italian background. Regretfully, it does have wear including 2 chips (one on the underside rim of the lid and one on the outer side of the box near the edge/rim as shown in photos so please read complete details below and review photos closely for condition. ITEM DETAILS: Approximate weight is 9 ozsMeasures approximately 2.25" x 3" x 3.625"Condition: In AS-IS vintage pre-owned condition with wear including 2 chips (one one the underside of the lid and one at the top edge of the box on one of the ends...chips are marked with red arrows in listing photos), worn off metallic gold tone finish/accents, rough porcelain style glazing, dirt, dust, grime, stains, scuffing, scratches, fine abrasions, small black specks fired into the glaze, the lid fits a bit loosely which has been the case on all Capodimonte boxes I have found over the years, rough edges, pitting, dimpling in the surface of the porcelain, chips on at least one of the lid corners (with gold paint over one of the indentations), open air bubbles, glaze voids, dings, flea bite size dings/marks/chips, dulling, discoloring and overall wear from age and handling. PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE OK WITH THE CONDITION BEFORE PURCHASING. Please see photos for details.Age/era: Unknown, I am guessing that it was made pre-2000s but I cannot guarantee (see additional comments below)Origin: Unknown, possibly Italy based on the style and mark but I cannot guarantee as porcelain factories in other countries made knockoffs with fake marks based on what I have readMarks: Bottom includes a blue glaze Crown over Neapolitan letter N "style" makers mark.
