Description: WELCOME!Up for grabs is this gorgeous lot ofVintage Brass ItemsMostly Made in IndiaLot of 8 Items (10 pieces)This is an amazing lot of brass items that I’ve collected over the years. There are vases, a bell/door knocker that says Shhh!!, A pretty trinket dish with flowers, hearts, and three little balls on the bottom that it stands on, a sugar scuttle, and incense burners. The items are as follows: The large vase has a gorgeous scalloped top and beautiful etching. It says Made in India on the bottom and measures just over 6” tall x about 4 1/4” wide, at the widest part. The medium painted vase is etched with flowers and painted with enamel. It measures just over 5” tall and almost 2” across the bottom. It says “India V25C”The tiny vase is etched and has a lip, like a pitcher. It is marked “India” on the bottom, with an “S”. It measures 3 1/4” tall and is 1 14” across the bottom.The wonderful bell / door knocker is etched and says “Shhh!!” at the top. It is marked “Bells of Sarna,” “India” and 78A-4. It measures about 4 3/4” from top to bottom, including the bell portion. It has two holes for hanging.The lovely little dish has three legs and a heart and flower motif. It is unmarked. It measures just over 1 1/2” tall , including the legs, and 3 3/4” across the top. It has a little tarnish and may have a small dent or two.The sugar scuttle belonged to my grandmother and I remember it from my childhood in the 1960s. It may have had another part but that is missing. It’s marked “India” on the bottom and is etched with flowers and leaves.One of the coolest items here is the chicken incense burner with coral colored eyes. The head comes off so you can put a cone incense in there and there are holes that the smoke will come through. It’s beautiful. It’s unmarked. It has three little legs. It’s almost 3” tall and is about 3 3/4” long. I’m not sure if the eyes are ceramic, glass or what.The round incense burner has incense resin present still and lots of evidence that it was used, as well as some tarnish. It is etched and has cross-shaped holes. It is inscribed on the bottom but I can’t make out what it says. I’m assuming it’s “India” but I’m not sure. It measures about 2 3/4” tall and 2 1/8” side at the widest. Buy to collect or resell, or both. It’s really a lovely lot.FINE DETAILS: All sizes are USA Standard.
