Vintage Book Lot: Haunted Summer, Harold and Maude, Creator, Dead Calm Rare OOP!

They come from a decades-long, pre-owned, private collection and have not been professionally graded. If you're a collector, then I may not be the seller for you. These books have been read (and re-read) by people who love the stories, imagination and nostalgia. I hope you find whatever you're looking for.This auction is for a lot including four (4) vintage, out-of-print paperback novels. Please note the following imperfections which may affect your interest in bidding:1) Dead Calm by Charles Williams. This is a first Avon Books printing from 1965. (The book was originally published in 1963.) It eventually became the source material for the 1989 movie starring Sam Neill, Nicole Kidman and Billy Zane. There are visible creases and wear on the front and back covers.The spine shows visible wear.The inside front and back covers have browned from age. There is a red stain on the back cover.The top and bottom of the book show discoloration from age. 2) Haunted Summer, by Anne Edwards. This Bantam Books paperback edition was published in April, 1974. (The original novel was published in 1972.) It later became the source material for the 1988 movie starring Eric Stoltz, Alice Krige, Philip Anglim, Laura Dern and Alex Winter. There are visible creases and wear on the front and back covers.There is visible and tangible wear and tear on the spine.The inside front and back covers have browned from age.There is a used bookstore stamp and pricing on the inside first page.The top and bottom of the spine show discoloration from age. 3) Creator by Jeremy Leven. Originally published in April 1980, this edition was published in 1984 as a tie-in to the movie starring Peter O'Toole, Mariel Hemingway and Vincent Spano. It is a Pocket Books second printing. There are visible creases on the front/back covers and the spine.The inside front/back covers have browned from age.The pages have yellowed from age.There is a stamped phrase on the top of the first page inside the book.There are discoloration marks on the back cover and the bottom of the book by the spine.The spine's bottom corner is torn. 4) Harold and Maude by Colin Higgins. This is an Avon Books Sixth Edition, printed in 1978. The cover art features Bud Cort and Ruth Gordon who starred as Harold and Maude in the 1971 movie. This is an ex-library copy: There is a related sticker on the spine. The last page in the book has the card holder and sticker to log check in/out dates. The library name is stamped on page 3 along with a handwritten word 'withdrawn'. The library name is also stamped on the top of the book. The #2 is written there also.There is a visible tear on the front cover.There are visible creases and dents on the back cover.
