Description: Here we have a pair of Mid Century Modern Gondola Chairs. I have seen them attributed to Adrian Pearsall as well as Carson's. I'm now sure these were sold by a business called "Carson's" in North Carolina. These chairs are all-original and were purchased from the original owner who also had a lot of other Pearsall furniture as well. I don't know who actually designed these chairs. These chairs have been very well cared for over the years. They have the original upholstery and these DO NOT need reupholstering OR re-foamed. There are no rips, tears or stains to the upholstery. I have sat in these chairs and they are firm and VERY comfortable. They can go right into your home without any repairs. They do need, however, a thorough cleaning and I would recommend that you get them steam-cleaned as the velvety upholstery is thick and dense and old dust could be trapped in the minute fibers. One of the chairs has some (what looks like wax?) drippings on the white upholstery (see the next to the last photo) which I am sure can be cleaned away but I haven't tried. Here are the measurements which the photos above may not show clearly enough: Length: 32"Width (Depth): 32"Height: 31" One last anecdote to the iconic natural of these chairs is that one was used in at least one MAD MEN episode. It was in Don Draper's and Megan's home (apartment) in their bedroom in the corner (near the door). I remember seeing it while watching MAD MEN and realizing I had two of them! I don't know which season or episode it was but it's definitely this chair! These chairs are being stored in Lancaster, PA. Local pick-up or I can deliver the chair East of the Mississippi River for a reasonable fee. I also have a shipper whom I have used for several years and from whom I can get a quote should you want to consider him as an option as well. P.S.
