Vintage A-2 Leather Jacket WW2 US Army Air Force 1940s Flight Bomber Original

Description: 1940s A-2 jacket! Overall condition is good though the zipper and knits were replaced in the early 70s. There is a small hole on the back edge of the collar and another small hole on the back shoulder. One of the metal armpit grommets is missing and one of the collar snaps is as well. The jacket was bought off of a bomber crewman in France (for $5!) by the gentleman’s uncle who I received it from. In the early 70s the guy I got it from wore it while motorcycling across Europe hence the scuffs/scratches. There is a printed/stamp tag but it’s rather faint but it’s a large rectangle below the hanger. Was possibly relined during the war. I believe this was made by Perry Sportswear the pocket button is off center as with all the Perry jackets. It’s a really nice solid jacket that is very wearable, the leather is not really stiff at. This is the perfect jacket to either wear or customize for a display!!
