Description: Alfred Auth was a German metal wares maker that began over 100 years ago. My company Mitchell Thomas used to import thousands of cigarette cases, card cases, and occasionally we would buy pill boxes and other gift items. Alfred Auth fell on hard times quite a few years ago & went under. Another German company acquired the assets and continued along in a much smaller way. The new company specialized in eye glass cases of all varieties & wanted to add all the Auth cases to their portfolio. Here it is 2024 and as I am cleaning out my office I find this 1 of a kind 4 compartment pill case still in a poly bag in it's original paper box. The frame of course is Nickle, the pill compartment is plastic, The blue distressed material is leather as is the hand made flower. I remember that we had been working on a variety of new cases in some unique designs and styles, many of which never saw the light of day due to the extreme cost. This is the ONLY case like this I have & I am 99.9% sure it was never produced. I have looked on Ebay, Etsy and other gift websites and find NOTHING like this case. A true 1 of a kind item. It measures approx. 3 3/4" x 2 1/2" x 5/8" & has a weight of 2.6oz. This case was made made approximately 20 years ago & the retail price back then would have been around $100.
