Description: .......We've moved into a smaller place, so we're offering the highest bidder in this auction a terrific assortment (our choice, unless you specify preferences) of at least 200 different MLB baseball cards depicting 50 or more very well-known players that have been rewarded with the ultimate MLB honor - induction into Cooperstown's Baseball Hall-of-Fame. Most were printed by Topps (base set and/or Stadium Club), while a few came from Donruss, Fleer, Score, and/or Upper Deck in the 1980s and the early 1990s (all are more than 25 years old). Among these cards from that 10-year span, even though most are just a few notches in value above the 'commons' (all of the 'no-name' commons have already been culled out of our collection), we're able to include a handful of cards of multi-talented players whose stats were limited by somewhat shortened careers due to injuries or other circumstances), and won't duplicate any of the cards, unless you request multiples of your favorite players). .......1 - 5 cards portraying each of as many as sixty 'Super-Star HOFers' (including several starting pitchers with more than 250 Wins and/or more than 2500 Strikeouts, relievers with more than 300 Saves, catchers, infielders and outfielders with at least 2200 hits and/or 250 homers) the likes of Johnny Bench, George Brett, Rod Carew, Steve Carlton, Andre Dawson, Carlton Fisk, Reggie Jackson, Fergie Jenkins, Jack Morris, Paul Molitor, Joe Morgan, Jim Rice, Nolan Ryan, Mike Schmidt, Tom Seaver, Ted Simmons, Bruce Sutter, Don Sutton, Alan Trammell, and Dave Winfield, along with a couple of dozen others, may be included. Popular managers, some of whom had garnered those stats during their playing days, and some who hadn't played much before being elected to the HOF based on their managerial skills and accomplishments, like Sparky Anderson, Whitey Herzog, Dick Williams and Joe Torre, are also fair game. .......The cards are collated first alphabetically by player's surname, year of manufacture, manufacturer and then numerically by card number, in a single medium-sized (500-card) simulated set-box - usually protected from the elements by being further packaged in four 50-card poly sleeves. If the order warrants USPS Priority shipping, the small flat-rate box would likely be used. .......PLEASE NOTE: If you win this auction and would prefer a predominance of cards from a specific year(s), multiples of any specific player, or of the players on specific teams, we can try to honor your preferences (we have quantities of some cards), but will need at least an extra day or two before shipping. In fact, if you send us a want-list of cards from this range of years, we may be able to help you complete your sets. Again, please make such a request at the time of payment. We've been known to ship before even seeing any trailing 'messages' or e-mails. .......We have packaged a medium set-box with more than 200 cards. We have made an attempt to equalize the mix so that you'll find at least one card from most years (probably only a handful each from 1984, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1991 and 1993), a few cards each from 1989 and 1992, and at least twenty or thirty from each of the three remaining years (1984, 1987, and 1990) - (but never more than 60 from any one year - unless you request more from a specific year or two). The mix, by team, should also be fairly equal. You may expect a smattering of 'special cards' as well (e.g., All-Stars, Future Stars, Record Breakers, events, managers, etc., all from the base set), but NO DONRUSS ROOKIES, TOPPS TRADED, FLEER UPDATES or any other special series cards in this offering - unless you request otherwise. .......Most of the newer cards are in VG, EXC or EXC/NM condition (a few, however, may have a minor defect like a soft corner and/or be slightly off-centered, either left-to-right or top-to-bottom). Occasionally, the Reverse side may be a little off-centered or contain a bubble-gum stain (Topps only), but is always 100% readable. Cheap enough for the kids to play with, yet rapidly becoming vintage aged, and in collectible condition to be saved as something of a potential investment . We'll miss them, but hope they find a nice new home. Whether your interest is as a gift, a resale, a donation, or for your own use or collection, you're sure to enjoy!! ........Feel free to inquire before bidding, if more info is required. We'll normally send this item via USPS Parcel Select Mail (note that 200 cards weigh almost a pound exclusive of packaging materials, so 1st Class isn't an option). You may request Priority Mail for an added charge (usually a little more if you live in the Northeast), or if you are ordering multiple items or multiple lots. We'll automatically upgrade to USPS Priority at no cost to you, if it provides us with a shipping cost savings, as has been the case quite often recently. Please note that extra USPS insurance protecting against shipping loss or damage is not available for this item. Delivery Confirmation and Tracking will usually be provided. ... After more than twenty years of selling on eBay (recently received a congratulatory e-mail from eBay), we retain a nearly 100% positive feedback rating. You can bet that we'll make every effort to earn your approval too!!! Powered by eBay Turbo Lister The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items.
