Vintage 1983 Cabbage Patch Doll In The Original Box w/ Unopened Birth Cert

Description: This vintage Cabbage Patch Kids doll is a rare find for collectors! The doll comes in its original box with a birth certificate and tag, making it a valuable addition to any collection. This girl doll has yellow hair and green eyes, and is an original Cabbage Patch Doll. Per research, this box is from 1983. The doll is in a Swing Dress (Type 1) with outfit 1J per this reference chart. https://hilaryscpkclothescloset.com/1-swing-dress/. The head appears to be head mold #2 per separate research. The box and plastic are intact but are in rough shape due to age, see tears at bottom and at top - the plastic/cellophane also has come unglued from the box and is only about 25% attached. . The doll itself is in great shape, and appears to have never been detached from the box (plastic twist tie around neck is still in-tact - and there appears to be a rubber band around one of the arms with the cabbage patch logo intact). The Birth Certificate envelope has fallen off of the original taped position in the box, but the certificate envelope has never been opened. Her name is "Katarina Simone". Either way, the doll itself is in great shape, and I see no visible signs of wear or issues on the doll, shoes, or clothing. Note that I do not know that much about these dolls, so I'm hesitant to take it out of the case to check anything else. If you need me to check something else, please let me know. The tape is not in tact at top or bottom, so I opened to take a peak and the doll/clothing all appears to be in great/untouched condition, and that's how I could tell the birth certificate was never opened. On the bottom, there is a little writing on the UPC, and an original Kmart price tag for $29.97. This comes from an old family collection.
