This is a Vintage 1973 Saint Paul Winter Carnival Vulcan XXXVII Big Red Pin Fire King Pinback MN 2 1/4" Minnesota holiday advertisement collectible badge. On the curl it states: Western Badge. This pin features a representation of Vulcan the Fire King's Torch, symbol of the fair's rival to Boreas King of the Winds. It states: I'm Red Hot for Vulcan XXXVII Big Red Blast Off 1973 St. Paul Winter Carnival.The pin could be used as a hat pin, lapel pin, scarf pin, for a vest, backpack, costume, or displayed. This pin is approximately 2 1/4" inches across.
