Description: Vintage 1970 Ringling Brothers Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus 100th Anniversary Poster NICE Title of poster is "Ringling Brothers Bros AND Barnum & Bailey Circus 100th Anniversary of the Greatest Show on Earth". It is a reissued poster by Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey from 1970 and is a genuine lithograph true to the original promotional circus poster.To commemorate their 100th anniversary, in 1970/71, Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey, produced reissues of some of their select and most famous authentic posters dating from 1883 to the 1930's. There were 30 different posters, and they were advertised as "The only antique posters authorized by the greatest show on earth". They were sold at traveling circus shows, and measured roughly 17" x 24". They were all identified by a number preceded by the letter "P". The numbers ranged from #103 thru #202. *****These are not the cheap, 'Amazon print outs', but rather 50+ year old VINTAGE posters as I have described. The text: "RINGLING BROS - BARNUM AND BAILEY - COMBINED SHOWS, INC, 1970" printed on lower/right corner of poster proves this to be VINTAGE.***** I have 25 vintage B&B Circus posters in several different styles. My dad purchased these in 1970-71 and stored them until now. Dimensions: Measures approximately 24" x 16" Poster has been rolled up so will have some creases but also still lies flat when stretched out as is shown in photos. No rips, tears, no damage.
