Description: here i have for sale is a 1966 sears silvertone 6031 clock radio. these were amongst the very last tabletop tubes sets to ever be produced for the american market. overall it works great. i have fully recapped it. also i have added an auxiliary input so with just a flip of a switch on the back you can plug in any device via the 1/8 audio jack (the blue tooth device in pictures is NOT included). its a very nice looking radio now. it was a boring solid white that had yellowed due to age as its made of same plastic that computers and electronics used in the following decades so i painted it red to make its ugly boring design stand out with the black clock face and white knobs (they didnt yellow due to age as they were made of the older plastics that pretty much all other radios of the time were made of. i have run it for a few hours to make sure everything is good. one thing to note about this radio is that due to its ''cheapness'' of parts and design used to make it combined with the fact that am stations run at a much lower power than they used to, this radio performs poorly in areas in which stations are weak. so unless you live near some strong signals not much will come in. but with a radio like this most buyers only care that it has an audio input so you can listen to whatever you want, in which that works great and even this simple last-of-its-kind tube radio sounds great!
