Description: Here is a very rare 1960’s Gretsch Anniversary. Most likely from 1964. I have been collecting Gretsch guitars for 30 years and this is the 3rd blue Anniversary that I have come across. 100% factory original finish. This guitar is completely original and in excellent condition. Was played very little and shows little to no wear on the neck and frets. The guitar was on display at the original owners house for many years before we acquired it. The bright blue finish has aged to a more blue-green colo. the brighter blue can be seen under the tailpiece and pickguard. The back of the guitar faded in a strange sort of pattern as the blinds from the window it was in front of left some vertical stripes of faded finish. There is some binding deterioration but not too bad at all. I’m not afraid to play it or take it to play at a friends house. It is 100% original and plays nicely. There’s something about these blue Gretsch guitars that I absolutely love. Time for someone else to get to enjoy it for a while.
