Description: This listing is for an antique silver plated coffee urn trophy presented to the Saturday Afternoon Club of Santa Rosa, California in 1919. In 1894 the Saturday Afternoon Club was formed by 5 prominent women in the community who were interested in civic matters. Some of the women involved in the creation of the club were Mrs. Martin Cochrane, Mrs. William Finlaw, Mrs. J. G. Wylie and Mrs. Mark McDonald. The club is one of the oldest clubs of it's type in the country and it still active today. The trophy is a coffee urn. Engraved on the front is: "Presented To, Saturday Afternoon Club by Presidents and Directors, 1894-1919". The urn is in very good condition with no dents or scratches. The coffee pour spout no longer operates. It is 18" high by 12" handle to handle, and front to back about 9". Before packing for shipping it weighs almost 5 pounds.
