Very Good Condition -Original Gilbert 20615 American Flyer Thunderbolt Train Set

Description: This original Gilbert American Flyer is a perfect collector's item and a great gift! This exceptional American Flyer The Thunderbolt train set was manufactured in 1960. ALL original tracks are intact and functional and include 12 pieces of curved track to form a 40" circle and 2 straight pieces to form an oval track. Cars include the Dockside Locomotive with a working head light, a Connecting Tender with original plug and jack arrangement for connection to the current source, New York Central Box Car, Steel Transport Gondola, Borden Milk Transport Car and yellow Caboose. Also included is the original transformer and track terminal which powers the train as well as a manual uncoupler which can be attached to the track. The train starts, stops and reverses by electric remote control. AND, after being stored in the original box for more than 50 years, was recently assembled and as if it was 1964, it still chugs around the track. Also included is the original box which is in fair condition, the original instructions, and other promotional materials.
