Why do so many surplus stores exist right outside of military bases that house combat arms military personnel? Guys that live in the field , grunts . Novice collectors will argue U.S. Soldiers living in that era of history never used surplus store special gear . They think it HAD TO BE ISSUED. A lot of the time these new collectors , airsofters, cosplayers and “living historians “ never lived the life and served.
