Description: For sale is a vinyl record by The Village People titled "Part 3", originally released in 1979 by Casablanca Records as a double album with a gate-fold cover. On the labels, there are printed the pressing plant codes "26". In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "Sterling" and "PRC", followed by the matrix numbers C-1/C-1/C-1/C-1, indicating that this album was mastered at Sterling Sound of New York City, N.Y., before early stampers were used to make these records at PRC Recording Company's pressing plant located in Compton, California. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record set used, professionally cleaned them on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put them into two MFSL archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The full-color inner sleeves are graded as Excellent because of edge rubs and a creased corner. The cover is graded as Excellent because of a some corner blunts, edge rubs, a creased corner nd faint ring wear. The spine has damage at the corners , with color loss, from these blunts and along the edges from rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any sleeve marks, surface scratches, scuffs, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this as Near Mint Minus, with two pops on Side One (Live) and one pop on Side Two (Sleazy). It plays all the way through without any surface noise, lock-ups or skips from start to finish. This still one of the best copies of this record that I've ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find another one like this one, especially a PRC pressing. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have a lot more Funk and Dance records as well as albums of all different genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
