"The Levy Caper"-Shaw-1974-1st Printing-With DJ + Publicity Photo Alt Cover Shot

Description: Offered is the vintage book "The Levy Caper", written by David Shaw and published in 1974 by the Macmillan Publishing Co. in New York. The book, "the true story of one of the biggest, wackiest swindles of all time", is a first edition and a stated first printing. The original dust jacket is included, covered in a clear plastic sleeve. Also included is a 5" x 7" glossy black and white photo showing a slightly different version of the cover picture-maybe a publicity photo or alternate cover shot? (See next-to-last photo for closeup). Although the book itself is not particularly rare, at the time of original listing I could find no others for sale on eBay or anywhere else that included the photo. The book is approx. 8 1/2" x 5 3/4" and contains 205 pages, plus a short postscript on one additional page. The book is in excellent condition. The jacket has an unclipped price, still visible despite a faint ink line drawn through it. The jacket has been well-protected by the plastic sleeve and has no tears, but does have a fold along the edge of the back flap. The two-tone brown hard cover has almost no wear, with sharp corners. The metallic words on the spine are still bright. There is no cracking inside either the front or the back covers. The white endpapers are clean but have yellowed slightly I see no missing or torn pages and all of the pages are well-attached to the binding, clean and clear. There are a few small spots along the edge of the book, seen when closed. I see no writing in the book. I have a lot of experience with vintage and antique books but am not an expert so please let me know if my description is missing information and you have additional questions.
