The black and white design gives it a classic look that is hard to miss. Designed with solid body type, this WELL BUILT VINTAGE STEEL guitar promises durability and longevity. With the model year BETWEEN 1958- MID SIXTIES, this Supro Jet Airliner Console lap steel guitar is a players dream. Made famous by David Lindly, the pickup and super huge tone is what David Lindly loved about this Pickup and brand. The 8-string configuration is ideal for lap steel players who are looking for a unique sound. This Supro guitar also comes with the original case in "good usable condition" for easy storage and transportation. The 3 legs are MIOA and one of the screw in nuts is missing as well as shown in the picture. While I took off one tuner and found no additional holes the tuners are vintage and work great. That said, I don't see these heavy duty vintage metal tuners on this model on the others ones listed over the years. The new GHS Custom Shop Lap Steel strings (15-54) were put on in June 19, 2024. Original Electroics were cleaned and work easy and flawlessly as do the tuners upgrade or not. The only serial number to be found is the silver stick on one reading 2-22765. The pots read 220S1 and 220 S2 not sure what year that is..Does anyone know? There is a very slight crack in the p[lastice string cover shown well in the pictures and f anything makes it easy to remove and put back. Very clean body as you can see.
