Description: ~ Here is a lovely set of (2) stoneware studio pottery mugs w/ a "chunky look" ~Color & Design: Ribbed Stoneware pottery design in an Oatmeal Speckled base color with blue paint trim around top and bottom rim of wide band. The band is finished off with larger random drip paint design, also in blue. There are thumbprints on both sides of the handle, top and bottom. The top one makes a nice thumb imprint spot when tipping for a sip. I love the light brush stoke of blue on each handle. It reminds me of the last punctuation to finish these statement mugs! Shape: Round Belly with slightly flared rim. Wide handle with a groove.Approx. Measurements: 3-7/8" tall, 3" diam. at rim, 2" diam. at base, 4-3/4" wide with handle. Holds 10 oz. to the rim.Condition: Very nice condition. No chips. The one mug has a hairline crack that I believe may have been there before painting, as the blue paint does not seem to have a crack in it on the outside (circled in red on photos). Nice solid mugs.Signed: Unsure of signature...Maybe "VM"? The chunky, earthy look and unique shape of these mugs make them perfect to enjoy your favorite beverage or soup and then display when not in use.
