THERESE OF LISIEUX ROSE KEY CHAIN KEYRING Brand new and in its original packaging Saint Thérèse is known as the Saint of the Little Ways, meaning she believed in doing the little things in life well and with great love. She is represented by roses. May everyone who receives this message be blessed. Therese inspires us to be true to ourselves, true to the people God wants us to be. She doesn't urge us to stretch ourselves or work ourselves to exhaustion. She tells us to talk to God, look inside ourselves, and focus on being our best self. The splendor of the rose and the whiteness of the lily do not rob the little violet of its scent nor the daisy of its simple charm,” she says. “If every tiny flower wanted to be a rose, spring would lose its loveliness. Therese of Lisieux, better known as St. Therese of the child Jesus was born Marie Francoise Therese Martin. She felt an early call to religious life, and overcoming various obstacles, in 1888 at the age of 15, became a Nun and joined two of her elder sisters in the cloistered Carmelite Community of Lisieux, Normandy. She is a patron saint of missions and of florists. Thérèse was the youngest of nine children, five of whom survived childhood. After her mother died of breast cancer in 1877, Thérèse moved with her family to Lisieux. In the deeply religious atmosphere of her home, her piety developed early and intensively. Therese saw herself as “the Little Flower of Jesus” because she was just like the simple wild flowers in forests and fields, unnoticed by the greater population, yet growing and giving glory to God. Therese did not see herself as a brilliant rose or an elegant lily, by simply as a small wildflower. Therese inspires us to be true to ourselves, true to the people God wants us to be. She doesn't urge us to stretch ourselves or work ourselves to exhaustion. She tells us to talk to God, look inside ourselves, and focus on being our best self. The Roman Catholic Church celebrates the feast of St. Therese, the Little Flower, on October 1st each year. This date was chosen because Therese died on September 30th.
