Description: Soviet Russian USSR Combat Service Medal with document, researched, awarded in 1965 to Nikolai Myshkovsky, for heroism during WWII as a Belorussian partisan!Myshkovsky served in the Chkalov Detachment, which operated in the Minsk oblast. His attestation from his archival personnel file reads as follows:"During his tenure in the detachment, he carried out a sabotage operation to blow up enemy vehicles, as a result, a vehicle was destroyed and one german was wounded. During the Red Army's offensive*, together with his platoon, he took 31 Germans prisoner. He is disciplined. He carries out all assigned duties conscientiously. He is morally stalwart." * Presumably, this refers to the Minsk offensive.Myshkovsky appears to have been awarded this Combat Service Medal per a Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet May 1965, part of a series of awards to former partisans that coincided with the 20th anniversary of victory in WWII.
