Description: Soviet Russian USSR WWII medal Order of the Badge of Honor with serial number in the 60-thousand range, researched to a military recipient. It was awarded in 1945 to Senior Lieutenant Aleksandr Vasilevich Vasilev, a topographer for the 64th Motorized Topographical Detachment, for supplying the Red Army with maps during WWII. A very rare awarding of a “civilian” award to a military recipient, and a rare awarding by Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet.Condition is great, as seen in the images! The serial number of the award is authentic and matches the serial number shown in the archival documents, obviously!
