Description: I am a retired priest/professor and I am trying to find a new Home from many of the books that I have collected over the years. These books were instrumental and helping me both plant an Anglican church in Northern Virginia, as well as teach semester class at the local seminary on church planting. These books along with a couple by Aubrey Malford’s were among the most important books in helping me design a new and growing church. Power Surge is written by an evangelical Lutheran pastor and focuses on how designing a church based on discipleship will help your church grow. This book has been well loved and has some underlining in it and bit of wear and tear. Mission shaped Church is about church planting and what’s called fresh expressions of church created by the Anglican church in England. I especially liked the focus on fresh expressions of church which could be used by any church new or old to use creative means for engaging new people. I was very surprised at how useful this volume was. Again, there are some signs of wear and tear and underlining and may be 20 pages throughout the book. Planting for a greater harvest is a conference of guide for what new churches need. This book contains everything that Wagner taught in his how to plant a church seminar for over 5000 participants. It comes with an endorsement by George Barna, who should also be familiar to anyone working in church planting and evangelism. The book has a good deal of wear and tear with some wrinkled pages for some reason, but there’s no underlining for a change. Coming from an earlier time back in 1970, Bruce Larson, and Ralph Osborne present the emerging church. This is a hardcover book still in good shape, with only two pages of underlining in the forward. Larson was also the author of the edge of adventure, a book about applying evangelism in the local church, another book I found very. Really sure where my copy of that went… I’m offering these four books together at a low price, hoping that someone else who is interested in evangelism, church, planting, or fresh expressions of Christianity in the local parish will adopt them and give them a new life.
