Sega Dreamcast GD-CD-ROM disc drive Flex Ribbon Cable [VA2 model only]

This item will be shipped with a tracking number. Up for sale is a flex ribbon cable for use exclusively with the VA2 model revision of the Sega Dreamcast. This part is very useful for replacing damaged disc drive ribbon cables. This is also the first aftermarket cable to ever surface for the VA2. Listing debut: January 14, 2025 The cables themselves are in open box shape, and they have been fully tested and working. I have instructions in the pictures that I made myself, with photos of each step of the installation from my own VA2 console. As you can see from the main eBay listing pictures, the cable on both front ends 16 pin gold fingers (1.0mm pitch), with a stiffener on both back ends. Please note: Some cables may have very minor creasing, visible under direct light (examples shown on the 5th and 6th photos), due to rigorous quality control and stress testing during manufacturing in Hong Kong. These creases do not impact the performance, build or functionality of the cable in any way. In fact, in my experience on testing all these cables, and playing them for a long time, I find these aftermarket cables more reliable than the ones that Sega produced for the VA2.
