The title is printed in the bottom white border below the image. “Copyright 1911 McLoughlin Bros. New York” is printed in the white border in the lower right corner below the image. (The cover had a copyright date of 1909, the interior illustrations had copyright dates of either 1908 or 1911.) We have double matted this chromolithograph in off-white and black. The chromolithograph is hinged into the mat opening using Filmoplast P-90, an archival quality picture hinging tape. All materials coming into contact with the cover are acid-free. The frame is a 1” wide gesso-over-wood frame in black with a carved design. Size: with frame the piece measures 13 ¾” wide by 16 5/8” high, visible portion measures 11 ¾” wide by 14 5/8” high, mat opening inside the black inner mat measures 7 ¾” wide by 10 1/8” high Condition: Condition is VERY GOOD. There is a small amount of smudging around the title and in the white border below the copyright date (see photos). There is a diagonal crease across the lower right corner of the image (more visible in photos than in person). These flaws do not draw the eye nor do they detract from the visual impact of this piece. Colors are strong and unfaded.
