Description: The center stone is an oval, mixed cut blue sapphire of 2.66ct. (Please note: this is NOT a "natural" sapphire, i.e., one that has been heat-treated to enhance its color. This is the real deal. The two round, brilliant cut diamonds are approximately 0.89ct. The 18k ring is stamped as such. This ring belonged to my late mother. It has been appraised by the American Institute of Gemological Research at $17,700; a copy of the appraisal is available to serious potential buyers. We are pricing it to sell. The sapphire measures 9.19 x 6.69 x 4.90mm. From the appraisal: "Clarity is slightly included, medium dark, vivid, violetish blue color (GIA vB 6/6). Cut is very good." The diamonds each measure 4.97 x 4.86 x 2.95mm. Total weight of ring = 3.62gm.
