Numbered & Signed A Beautiful LIMITED EDITION/NUMBERED AND SIGNED piece measuring 7" X 4" and weighs nearly 5 lbs. Found at an estate sale, complete with Original 1998 receipt from Israel, and Certificate of Authenticity. Complete with sales brochure in excellent condition. Being a novice collector, I am not positive if this is coated or bronze, but it is heavy! "Jerusalem Pilgrimage 3/26/98" is etched on the back as well as the artist signature which coincides with the date on the original receipt, which leads me to believe this may have been a "commissioned" piece or a a limited edition since it was 8 - 10 weeks for delivery. Distant and recent history, tradition and life situations have provided Sam Philipe with the inspiration for his art work. The materials he uses are Jerusalem stone, black Galilee basalt, bronze, sterling silver and gold. All of the materials are chosen for their purity and authenticity by the artist.
