Description: Up for this auction is another truly rare item. It is a authentic original vintage Large scapular that was handled and blessed by Saint Padre Pio. This scapular which is the only one we have is extremely special as it has a image of St. Francis of Assisi on it. Who was Saint Padre pio's favorite Saint. Also, we were told when this scapular was blessed. It was on the nightstand next to Padre pio's bed in his South which was cell number one . This extraordinary item was given to Joe Peterson, the American secretary and American translator for St. Padre pio. He was a very dear friend to Padre and Father Alessio, care taker and friend of Padre Pio. He also became close friends with my mom when he came to United States and he stayed at our home on many occasions. This remarkable item was used for veneration to help promote the cause for Padre Pio back in the late 1970's and early 1980's. It is in fantastic condition as only worshipers would touch it for devotional purposes as it was behind glass in a framed museum display until we just took it out. We have decided to take it out and to share with others in these days of trials and turmoil. So we have decided to offer it to the public for future devotion and adoration. He became great friends with my mom and would write to her many times and send her these items for devotion. Amazing. There have been many blessings and healings of people who touched the scapula. We just had a big gathering where we blessed over 400 people with this scapular . Please see all of the photos shown for complete description and condition.
