Description: Sun Dial and Clock motels in Williams on US Highway 66 Here is a flat (staple and matches removed) unstruck front strike matchcover from the Sun Dial Motel and the Clock Motel in Williams, Arizona, the "Gateway to the Grand Canyon." Both were Friendship Inns. See the second eBay picture where I scanned the backs of two postcards for the Sun Dial and Clock motels to confirm that they were both on Hwy. 66. (The postcards are not part of the auction lot: only the matchcover is included in this auction. The Sun Dial was at 200 East Bill Williams. The Clock Motel was at 334 East Bill Williams and Bill Williams Avenue was Hwy. 66 through town. They may have been under common ownership at one time for this matchcover to promote both motels. There is no tape, glue or handwriting on the inside of this matchcover. This matchcover is in very good-to-excellent unstruck condition. I have 250 US Highway 66 matchcover auctions on eBay all with opening auction bids of just $1.00. And all of the auctions have a “Buy It Now” provision for $1.45. Such a deal!
