Please see photos for beauty, color and condition. This has been in storage for many decades. From an estate sale. Originally part of a larger specimen sample collection. The box is labeled as “Psilomelane” and I have concluded this sample could be identified as Romanechite based on images and information on the internet. Originally recognized as an individual mineral species, Psilomelane was discredited by the IMA in 1982.
