Description: ROLLEIFLEX SL35E KITORIGINAL OWNER I have been a working photographer for 52 years and now at 70 I am liquidating my extensive camera collection. In around 1998 I was visiting family in Chicago and a cousin said a camera store in business for decades was closing and selling off everything. I always loved Rolleiflex TLR cameras and had a few. When I saw this SLR I couldn't resist. At the time Rollei was trying to compete with the big Japanese companies and this was the last version of their conventional SLR, although they introduced a weird design thereafter which face-planted. This camera was incredible. First of all it's small and comparatively light. I photographed it next to my Nikkormat for size comparison. The Nikkormat weighs almost twice as much. The viewfinder in the Rollei is HUGE and bright, perfect for people with glasses. It has a unique split image focusing screen which I love. The aperture setting shows in the viewfinder and LED's show the shutter speeds. The shutter is electronically controlled. The lenses are outstanding, so much so that I adapted them to use on my Canon 5D MKII. Two photo samples attached taken with this camera. This kit is perfect for a photographer wishing to shoot film without dumping a ton of cash and getting everything needed to produce the highest quality images in addition to the cool factor.
