Description: This is a hard to find restored Waterman Artist Safety fountain pen, with a flexible 14 K Ideal Flexible nib, in very good condition - it is a clipless pen. The pen is free of cracks or personalizations. It is ready to write and with a great nib. Please see the photos and full description below. The pen has been fully serviced. It was disassembled, the nib and feed were ultrasonically cleaned and the filling system was repaired. After assembling the pen, it was inspected, tested and the nib was adjusted. It writes nicely, with good flow and should be ready to write for many years. Nib: Waterman Ideal New York 14 K gold nib - note that the nib is NOT the original artist nib. It writes as a smooth fine with good flex - the sample shows a conservative amount of pressure which is what I recommend (please see the writing sample in the last photo. The squares are 5mm x 5mm). Filling system: safety, eyedropper filler.Size: about 5.0 in (~ 12.7 cm)Body and Cap: The smooth hard rubber is clean, there are no cracks or deep scratches. There a few small marks on the cap top and some shallow marks on the turning knob for the filling system (I tried to show some of it in photos 7-9, but it is difficult to see). There are micro-scratches and there may be light scratches compatible with the age and use and it shows a some oxidation, particularly on the cap, as can be seen in the photos.Imprints: the imprints are crisp and deep.Personal engravings: NONE.
