Description: ORIGINAL 1998 WASHBURN DIME GUITAR! Not the recent reissue. Not the Dean version! This is the original vintage 1998 release, "pre-Dean" slime avocado green tiger wood DIMEBAG DARRELL SIGNATURE model! From my own personal collection And a very reluctant sale,,,I will never find another one of these. If you search you'll see one recently sold for almost $7000 and it had been repaired.. and I need repairs to my Tour van so I decided to see if anybody is interested in this one, if not,I will keep it. You can make an offer if you like it. Selling as I found it, I only kept it in my collection. I never plugged it in until today to test it. The strings are old and oxidized and absolutely need to be replaced. When I found it several years ago still in the original case, I found that the original owner had glued a rubber snake on it. Parts of the "after market snake" have come loose, exposing the glue underneath, which can possibly be removed by a professional. I was able to remove some with a razor blade however, I don't want to mess it up and I would never dream of taking this out of the house to a gig -So I always just kept it in the case with the snake in place-I will leave it to the new owner to have it removed professionally. Otherwise, this guitar was hardly ever played. There is no to the finish wear on the neck. There is no buckle rash to the back. There is corrosion/ oxidation to some screws and chrome parts, because this was left sitting for many years before I acquired it. And I have never had it cleaned or detailed. There are some small chips to the top of the V shaped head, and some tiny crazing on the body inbetween the Allen screw and lead pick up near the left or top screw on the Floyd Rose from the Allen screw receptacle , I showed a close-up of that area. This is the original 1998 release with numbered Washburn pick ups. It's still retains the original Washburn Floyd Rose unit installed however I do not have the bar. Has the original Grover tuners. Tested today and both pick ups sound amazing. All three knobs work as they should the switch works, however needs cleaning, when switched to the rhythm position sometimes there is a gain loss which requires further toggling so that needs attention. However it's minor and it's the only issue that I can see except for the obvious snake removal lol. Both pick ups sound incredible and They are actually the original Washburn factory pickups-numbers 621 and 623. Very rare to find all of this intact! Nothing has been swapped out. Best part is that I have the RARE original WASHBURN hard case and it has some cool vintage stickers on it and otherwise it is in near mint condition inside and out. It has obviously never been gigged! The original owner was obviously a big Pantera fan. Serial number dates this to 1998 and is shown clearly in at least one photo. If you need more photos or information, please ask! I am more of a guitar collector than player-so if I missed anything, that's your responsibility to ask or request close-of photos of a particular area. The photos are the description. PLEASE NOTE: This is a final sale! Buying "as pictured" so please ask all the questions you want before you place a bid! Shipping price includes me dropping it off at a third party packer/shipper, either UPS or FedEx, my option, and having it professionally packed and insured for the full value, but I strongly suggest you pick it up in person- as an item of this type is irreplaceable, and I will not be held responsible for any loss or damage in transit. That is your responsibility. If you insist on shipping this guitar I will purchase insurance on your behalf, but I will not accept a damaged item for a return. SO PLEASE NOTE AGAIN that any damage will be your responsibility to deal with because again I am suggesting that you drive or get on a plane and pick this up personally which is the only way to 100% guarantee it's current condition. No international shipping I will ship to the lower 48 USA only.
