In 2007 Dragon Models released this 1:6 scale six figure set titled "Uncommon Valor" depicting the US flag raising on Iwo Jima in February of 1945. It is item no. 70620. Please see photos as they are an integral part of the item's description. The cardboard sleeve has 15 years of shelf wear. From Dragon's website: "Perhaps the most iconic and famous photo to come out of WWII was that taken by Joe Rosenthal on February 23rd 1945 atop Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima. The photograph featured five U.S. Marines and one Navy Corpsman raising the Stars and Stripes on the fifth day of the 35-day battle. This is perhaps the most reprinted photo of all time, and it remains an ensuring image of WWII. Iwo Jima lies 1200km south of Tokyo, and after some of the fiercest fighting of the Pacific campaign, the island's airfields could finally be used by Allied bombers.
