Description: For your consideration, a gorgeous vintage 18 karat two tone yellow gold diamond pave rose design ring. There are forty-three round cut pave set diamonds in white gold. The total carat weight in diamonds is approximately 44 points. There is a round cut natural blue sapphire bezel set in the center of the rose design. The carat weight of the sapphire is approximately 18 points. The rose design rises elegantly off of the finger. The ring is hallmarked 18k. This very rare ring was purchased in 1996 at an estate jewelry store in San Diego. In 1999 the ring was appraised for $590, that was when gold was at $285 an ounce. Gold is currently at $1,893 an ounce (a 664% increase). 18 karat gold is 75% pure gold. Price of in just gold weight for this ring is about $250. This ring was one of my favorites and I wore it in an office environment, so it is in very good condition. I am nearing retirement and am selling off some of my jewelry collection.
