Description: Radial Engineering ProDI A compact, passive direct box that merges superb audio performance with solid, reliable construction, making it the ideal general duty direct box for both studio and stage. At its heart is a custom-wound Radial transformer. It features an exceptionally high 140 kOhm input impedance for reduction of loading, while enabling it to handle extreme signal levels at all frequencies with no distortion. This is enhanced with an internal MuMETAL® shield, protecting it against electromagnetic fields that can cause distortion in unshielded transformers. It starts with a "skeleton" made with 14-gauge steel for added rigidity, along with Radial's unique book-end design that creates a protective zone around switches and connectors. Glass-filled nylon connectors and high-cycle switches combine with the mil-spec PCB and internal RF filtering to offer durability as well as noise-free performance. A full bottom panel no-slip pad gives both mechanical isolation and electrical insulation for further protection against the rigors of professional touring.
