Description: Selling my Vintage 1983 Fender Standard Precision Bass from Dan Smith-era Fullerton Factory, in very minty condition. This bass is all-original, with OHSC in very good condition. Often called Olympic white, but actually it’s a factory cream color has aged to a rich patina, with no noticeable fading. For the unfamiliar, these last-of-Fullerton Fenders offered excellent craftmanship by many of the same crew who built the first Fender reissues. I also have a black one that I’m keeping. I’ve shot a few pics in different light to try to capture the true color. Neck is straight with no issues and truss rods works well in both directions as it should. Maple fretboard and frets are in very good condition, almost no fretwear. This bass takes low set up with no buzz. Weight is 8.6-8.8 lbs Nut width 1 3/4” . I searched high and low for flaws but could only find some very minor light scratches and a pea-sized ding on the back that doesn’t break the finish (see photo). The front, neck and fretboard are super clean, as is all the hardware. This has an original higher-mass bridge that was a big improvement over the older Fender bridges IMO. Single-ply white pickguard.
