We put it on all our cutting boards and are extremely impressed with the outcome. My rolling butcher block has never looked better.PREMIUM HAND-MADE CUTTING BOARD BUTTER MINERAL OIL & BEESWAX Food Safe! (#175618914613)Buyer: travimaide_0 (13)US $9.10Past monthReply I make lots of cutting boards and other wood items and use mineral oil and beeswax all the time and so I eventually made my own cutting board wax/protector/oil. Most times when you buy the pre-fabricated stuff it is mostly mineral oil and a little bit of beeswax…..it’s a liquid form that you can pour out on the board, which makes it easy to use, but it dissipates very quickly as you use the board and wash the board. My wax is 100% food safe and 100% guaranteed and I have included pictures to show you what it looks like on the board and what it looks like on an old piece of white maple. Also, between the two items beeswax is the far more expensive ingredient. Therefore producers use as little beeswax as possible, well still claiming your item contains beeswax. I got tired of paying $10 or $15 for a small bottle of mineral oil with a little bit of beeswax, so I bought a bunch of both and started mixing. My current product has about 60% mineral oil and 40% beeswax. NOBODY ELSE DOES THIS….MOST USE 90% mineral oil and 10% beeswax. When using, it’s easiest to use if you warm it up a little bit first. You can set the product in the sun for an hour or two or you could use a crockpot or even an oven but don’t leave it in too long. Once it’s soft you can apply it with your hands which has the added affect of giving you nice soft hands afterwards. A little goes a long way. My wife also loves it for her lips and her hands and her feet and I use it as a lotion on those places also and it works terrific better than most lotions you buy in the store. If, for some reason, you find the product too heavy on the beeswax, You could always thin the product by buying a small bottle of mineral oil at any pharmacy for about three dollars. Pour the oil into a croc pot with the cube of my wax….. Put it on low, wait until it all liquefies….. stir it up… And then pour it back in a container and let it cool and harden. Each container weighs approx. 2 ozs. It will last most people for years. If you are unaware or you should really be reconditioning your cutting board every month or two. Otherwise they get dried out and that begins the slow death process. Well, there you have it. More information than you probably ever wanted to know about cutting board oil and wax, but I have learned so much on eBay from Kind sellers who educated me on various products and so I’m trying to pass on my knowledge to some of you. 2 oz. Is one of the round containers shown in pics. You are buying one container. I also sell 4 ozs., which saves you a bit on shipping. Any questions, please ask. BUY 2 and SAVE $. I am a one-man operation. I make it, sell it, ship it, and make sure you are happy. 100% money back guarantee. Thank you. The price is a steal for what you are getting. I made a huge batch and don’t need it all, so a few of you will get to share the wealth.
